       @damianogerli I recently returned an early 90's tech book to a friend who lent it to me a few decades previously -- O'reilly The Complete Internet circa early 90's.   The section on the World Wide Web consisted of a paragraph essentially saying how it's a niche service unlikely to catch on because it only works on NeXT workstations.  #RetroComputing

       @ochaos Last year I had found an "AJAX" book from mid 2000s — about early interactive stuff that we hate the Web of today for, Google Suggest and all that, from the days when JS was very limited and you had to use hidden frames to retrieve and process data… I can't cite anything because I have already put it back to where it came from, but it was a hilarious read 😂@damianogerli

       @sneakAccording to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_be_evil it actually was their motto until 2015 or 2018 if you look at their code of conduct. It confirms my feeble memory. Do you have sources stating something other, perhaps a link to archive.org?@damianogerli
