Anyone got any tervacious suggestions for 'banned books' week?Needs to be a book that got an actual ban; not a 'soft ban'.

@NeedaGin Anything in the U.S. would most likely be about birth control and abortion, under the Comstock Act of 1873. It’s hard to find exact titles, though. I mean, I’m finding titles, but they’re things like Lady Chatterly’s Lover by DH Lawrence, but I’m otherwise just finding “information about birth control” in general.

@Cousin_Isobel @NeedaGin How about a book about the bans, rather than a banned book? A lot of the material available for contraception seems to have been coded advertising rather books. “Devices and Desires: A History of Contraceptives in America” by Andrea Tone. (Canterbury Tales was also banned under Comstock; it covered a lot of territory.)
