       @rberger Folks have been stating this since 1968. But agree that most of us have been called negative, disaffected, treasonous or insane. It’s evidently only my opinion, but US has been at least a proto-fascist state all of my long lifetime. Sometime since 1980, the scale tipped from proto to actual. 2001 is a good guess.

       @rbergerWe lost, or worse abandoned, the Civil War. When a war ends, the victors must either force the losers to comply with the new regime, or be killed or banished. The US simply let Reconstruction peter out and ever since, the reactionary forces have been growing in power. We're gonna have to finish that fight, ... or not.
