I'm going to be resuming my podcast but I'm no longer going to use Anchor/Spotify. Sell me on why I should use your distribution method over say libsyn. I'll be taking comments until Halloween.

@janagyjr What do you mean by distribution method? The Standard method of publishing a podcast is to put an mp3 on a server along with an RSS feed. That's all you need and can be done for as little as $4 a month. (Possibly even free)Then it's useful to let your feed be known to the world by submitting it to index such as podcastindex.org and Apple podcasts. This allows listeners to discover you easier. It is then up to you to market your podcast to the masses.I hope this was helpful.

@Kolomona libsyn provides a method of delivering audio more efficiently then just sticking something on an unoptimized server. Media distribution isn't as easy as just 'sticking it on a server'. Sure it will work but it won't scale well. I've talked to various people involved in online content distribution (not podcasters, but people who actually develop the tech or work on the tech as part of their day jobs). I'm also looking for features different hosts have. (more)

@Kolomona Using libsyn means I'll have to build out everything else I'd want (basically a majority of pc2.0 features) and I'm not looking for that. I want something that is fully featured, optimized for delivering audio content, maintained on a regular basis (bug busting mostly, feature updating if something is not fully mature as a project). I'm not necessarily looking to have the audio post-produced past say maybe chapters (which is something I'd like as a feature). (more)

@Kolomona Rando @boobury gave a good link and I'm looking over features and what's offered. libsyn was something I was considering early on in my search but isn't really an option anymore. I want to focus on making the podcast, not making sure everything else works. (fin)
