@dushman@den.raccoon.quest I have no firm opinion on XOrg vs Wayland. All I know is that on this new laptop of mine, everything "just worked" when booting into a Wayland session whereas the XOrg session only had support for a basic laptop use vs. the "2-in-1" functionality provided by the hardware. @EricZhang456@pl.starnix.network @iska@catposter.club

@dushman@den.raccoon.quest I always used XOrg just because that's all I had known and used before. Never had trouble with it until I couldn't get a lot of hardware features of this new laptop working or supported. Spent hours trying to troubleshoot it and find missing firmware, etc.. Finally just booted into a Wayland session (per some advice on a forum) and it "just worked". Haven't had any trouble with Wayland as of yet. @EricZhang456@pl.starnix.network @iska@catposter.club
