       @mayonesa @RustyBertrand Europe is not a monolith, actually! There are both right and left leaning countries, but most are really close to center. The American politics scale is heavily skewed in favor of right-wing politics. Democrats would not even be considered left-wing in Europe, but center-right. Just because some countries are far-left on the American scale, doesn’t make them actually far-left.
