Good morning. 🕊️☮️☕27 September 2023Years ago, at work, in a conversation with a couple of my work friends, and the subject of biological evolution came up. I tried to explain that natural selection is a real thing, which only made them angry. Of course, they pointed out that the "Theory of Evolution" was only a theory and I pointed out that the definition of a scientific theory wasn't. what they thought it was. We went on and on, but they were absolutely positive that the Earth was only about 6000 years old. etc., etc., etc. So, I shut up and let them be. Though, I'm still confounded to this day about how closed-minded people can be even when presented with evidence.“When you engage in an argument. @Swede1952 Some people confuse natural selection with eugenics, which is a totally different matter.

@SharonGibson3 It is, hence “natural” selection, but didn’t Darwin cross breed pigeons as an experiment to show effects of selection. I’m not certain that I know the definitive meaning of eugenics.
