       @tek coming from a non-US person: how exactly does the FCC work? Are they reimplementing existing legislation with this, that just wasn't applied during Trump's admin? Or are they, as part of the executive branch, defining these new rules?

       @tek Net neutrality has been framed as a left versus right thing, and there's some history to that, but to me, this is just an issue of getting what you paid for. If it doesn't have net neutrality, it isn't internet service.

       @tek aah yeah that's what I thought!It's kind of wild to see how much is done by executive order and decree these days.I mean I get it, half of your legislature is filled with ghouls that would rather see the world burn than reach bipartisan concensus...but maaan it's fucked up to see that each incoming presidency can just roll back all their predecessors rules.
