The Xiaomi 13T series launched today, and I've got my hands on both devices! (Shown below is the Xiaomi 13T in Meadow Green and the Xiaomi 13T Pro in Alpine Blue.)The 13T and 13T Pro look identical and have the exact same display and cameras, except the Pro has the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, 120W charging, and is available in higher RAM/storage models.First impressions:

* The vegan leather back of the Alpine Blue model feels very nice (I'm always a big fan of grippy, textured backs). Not as much of a fan of the glossy glass back on the Meadow Green/Black models. In general, though, both phones feel comfortable to hold. They're pretty big and wide, so one-handed use isn't really doable, but they do have flat displays!

* MIUI is not as offensive as some of y'all make it out to be, though it will take me time to get used to it. I feel like it'll take me nowhere near as much time to get used to MIUI compared to One UI.* I like the addition of the Leica Authentic Look filter. The photos I've taken it with definitely seem more true-to-life and pleasant to my eyes. Although with the emphasis on Leica imagery, it's odd that beauty mode is still enabled by default.

* Performance seems solid; both are running pretty powerful chips (MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra in the 13T and Dimensity 9200+ in the 13T Pro). Would've been nice if both phones had LTPO displays, but they don't so they have fixed 30/60/90/120/144Hz refresh rate modes (the phone adaptively switches between them).

* The charging speed on the 13T Pro is ludicrous. 0-100% in 19 minutes on the Pro with the included 120W charger. Fastest phone charger I've ever used, though not sure I'd ever need that kind of speed. As a consequence, the charging brick is massive.

@edross the only phone launching very soon with Android 14 will be the Pixel 8 seriesYou'll have to wait a few weeks at the least for other flagships to launch with Android 14 (very likely in December with the new batch of phones running the next generation flagships chips)

@MishaalRahman I've got 120 on my Xiaomi 13 Pro and 90 on my Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Makes charging anything else feel like ten year old tech. I saw AT&T as one of the carriers, are you guys finally getting some Xiaomi models in the US?
