@adam not if your in Australia, Binance no longer aspires deposits and withdrawals. And the big 4 banks don’t allow you to use your bank card to purchase crypto anymore. 😔But could always have a PayPal me link

@adam I've always wondered why crypto, why this same system #value4value cannot be built on top of the current monetary system and get ride of middle men's as much as possibleI would donate but I don't own crypto and probably never will

@rmdes Not "crypto". The lightning network. Both the V4V spec and the lightning spec allow for other monetary types. Why has another type not been implemented? Many reasons, first and foremost is the ability to do micro payments. Second is the middle men. All fiat systems and all tokens outside of Bitcoin and monero (to my knowledge) have middlemen you cannot "get rid of". 1/2

@rmdes FYI, you don't "own" your fiat money either. It is being stolen from you by inflation every second of the day. Final thought: people always look for an excuse not to return value when they really aren't receiving enough value to motivate them. Its okay, you don't need to create an excuse. 2/2

@adam about your final thought : that's a judgment without having a clue of the other side reality.My case: I don't have money I can't risk either on bitcoin or any other crypto, the only value I have (that do get stolen from me with inflation) is the value I, we, operate in, with.we don't all have the luxury to "own" bitcoin or montero.poor people (below poverty line, which I am) don't have the same access to technology, thus the demonstration of that.

@adam micro payment have been at work all across the global South for several decades now, there is no issue with fractioning a dollar or a euro but technological friction to allow it.we could have a wallet that transform fiat money into credit and pay with "credit" fraction of value from money/value we actually have.It's a technical issue not the absence of possibility to do so if we'd wanted it. bitcoin has middle men's too, I must use one just to get 1 bitcoin for instance.
