@kyle Good milage on that 5X. I had one myself for years, then my son used it for a while. It was still fine , but needed new battery.

@Infoseepage Exactly. I should probably get a pair of metal tongs too, but I'm assuming I should have enough time to throw the battery into the bucket if it starts to smoke.

@joeo10 I've read that is a common problem with them, but in my personal experience with three different Nexus 5x phones for myself and my family over the years, none have (yet) gotten that bootloop.
