@s8n I'm of the firm belief that increased accessibility correlates with decreased quality. A natural side effect of more people being able to throw their hat in the ring.When only a handful of dedicated craftsmen are the only people who can make something, everything that comes out of them is a mirror of their passion. But with more people there's room for the lowest common denominators to flood the market and make these gems harder to find and less likely to be made.

@supersid333 @iska I found on yaj one of the scanners that artists used to digitize their drawings for making "cg" art (as it was called) on yahoo shopping and imported it. It's literally a handheld scanner and I need to set up a desk for that and one of my pc98s.

@supersid333 @iska my favorite pc98 find was a pc-9801-14 (really rare early sound card from 1983) which I'm likely going to use more once I have a better setup for japanese computers even if it's just for sampling for a game I'm making

@supersid333 @iska the only good thing was having money to burn which I ended up impulsively doingIf you have any idea how bad it was I bought a junk for parts x68000 that I still have to reassemble and set the PSU up properly for (I should do that today tbh it has more potential than my msx right now that needs a belt and ram upgrade)
