       My whole life I was talked over, interrupted, and told to be more assertive, while simultaneously accused of mansplaining, interrupting, and centering myself too much. I was praised for being sensitive and quiet - "what a nice young man!" - while simultaneously being told to "man up", "stop crying", and being blamed for being bullied.
