@lain Bernie Sanders couldn't make Bernie Sanders work. In the face of an obviously rigged primary election, he conceded and endorsed his cheating abuser, in a huge betrayal.Then he did it again in 2020.At this point he's just Lucy holding the football in Peanuts. And in that sense, he did work: he got the progressives to vote blue no matter who, and give their money to Bernie, who then gives it to those he claims to oppose.People like Bernie are there to keep the populist left a captive voting block for democrats, who will be promised things, but like Lucy and the football, never get them.In this case it's good they don't get what they want, because of the labor camps you mention, which would be where all the "free stuff" would come from.

For those not in the US, this demographic is the only one that votes this way. Also if they stopped voting this way the DNC would never get a candidate in office again nationally. There is a reason they push a lot of incentives to avoid education and push drugs on that community. However that’s changing as you’ll notice ‘urban revolt’ against migrants ramping up in major cities as this class of voter is being replaced now.Just consider the Chicago anti-illegal movement as a case study. They see they’re being replaced as the bottom bitch voting block as voting blocks aren’t needed as much with machine politics in locked-down districts.

@thendrix @lain well Illegal Immigrants are another captive voting block (mules), which is part of why they'll never be given what they want, because then they'd no longer be captive.That and it's selling them a bridge, because the average American doesn't know that more than 25% of the population of many areas is undocumented.And then corporations would have to pay them minimum wage and have health and safety standards. And they couldn't be used for slavery or sex-slavery anymore, or used as disposable people to commit crimes. So many powerful interests would lose so much if amnesty occurred, but the *idea of* amnesty keeps the voter fraud machine going.Progressives enslaved with dreams of guillotines by people who own four mansions.Blacks enslaved with systemic poverty caused by welfare, minimum wage, public education, and the "war on drugs".Illegal Immigrants enslaved with non-person status and empty promises to gain legal personhood.By giving any of these groups what they're promising them, they'd lose their power over them to get their vote.
