In the past I loaned out my various vampire novels to those interested in all things “Not Twilight”. They even ended up becoming fans of Ravenloft and Anita Blake.

The only book which I've lent to multiple people is a tiny one called "Zen in the Martial Arts" by Joe Hyams.Because it is incredible short, and because the content is very, very simple / straight forward in its presentation (each chapter containing a lesson and story as example), nearly everyone who has started to read it to whom I've lent it has actually gotten all the way through.I still like the book a lot. I read it back in high school, and it served as a jumping-off point for my reading of eastern philosophy as a whole.

Not in a long time. I used to try to get people to read "Lost in the Cosmos" by Walker Percy. The few who did seemed puzzled that I was so affected by it.In college, I managed to make a new Cordwainer Smith fan, lending him the "Best Of" and "When the People Fell" anthologies.

No, I just give away books that I don't want to keep in my small collection. I don't like to have too many books around. Frankly most books, especially modern "nonfiction", are just propaganda and grifts that deserve less respect than internet shitposts.

I've given and received recommendations, but the people I talk to who also read aren't around me, so I haven't loaned out books.

One of my good friends used to try to give me copies of e-books he liked, trying to make me a fan. I didn't even look at most of them because I was so tired of the genre (post-apocalyptic).

I have, but not commonly, as most people I know aren't the reading sort.

I would, save that I've found not many people want to read. They'd rather watch TV or go to the movies.

All of my stuff is currently packed up, but generally speaking, very rarely. Adam loaned out his copy of "Love and Respect" to a friend who was trying to fight for his marriage when his wife wanted a divorce. Haven't seen any of them since.

Sometimes I lend out books. Those who return the books may get to borrow again

I did borrow books from the library when I was younger, but I didn't do that much currently. But if I do have kids sometime in the near future, I might take them to the library just to take a look around and borrow some books.
