       The EU's Digital Markets Act will or would ban, for some large tech companies, some of the worst abuses that they commit using the power over users that they get from non-free software: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/06/eu-unveils-package-laws-curb-power-big-tech-giants It is a good try, but what users really need is free software.
