@Oneeyeking @CSB On the contrary, once they can reliably cross the uncanny valley, studios can use CGI generated characters in place of actors. (Japan already has virtual music idols). The job of actor will go the way of DVD store clerk or professional typist.

@CSB okay so Mark Wahlberg produced the hit series Entourage about true life things that happened to him and his entourage or other stars he knew once he became a star in Hollywood. For the longest time a running gag in it was that the star was offered a superhero movie but he had to think about it b/c it was for wimpy 1970s Aquaman.Mamoa beefcake'd up that hero for women to like & the action is good. kid friendly? ppl will see it. Then set him on fire with a nice lightning blast.BTW, it's quite possible I fall into the grumpus that hates weed category. Although I can't quite say I hate it since I never imbibed. I did sell it though with my friend when I was 15. I was pretty good at rolling 'em. So at least I got that going for me.
