There are some brands of laptop that make touhou unplayable because the keyboard will drop inputs if you're holding too many buttons at the same time. Moving diagonal while focused and shooting is impossible on one of my old machines because of this, and you can't fix it because it's a firmware problem.

You might think 4 buttons isn't a lot but depending on how it handles polling it can get very confused when you switch from up+left to right+down, the exact bug I had would cause reimu to keep moving up+left instead of moving down+right which kills you pretty quick.
