       When you are outside of established networks and structures such as "journalism" or "academia", etc it's sometimes hard to feel like you have any peers or that people would see you as one. I miss it. Like, I probably don't fit in any traditional box and I can't do the constant work that people whose job it is can do but the last months have shown me how much more energy everything takes.

       @tante I think I get that - can I ask, what field? It’s great, to find communities of common interest to collaborate, share with, and develop from. I think it happen too little.

       @tante I kind of feel that, too. (Except that I probably feeling different about missing things. I’m kind of happy with the way I am wearing multiple hats which often seems to be impossible for many others.)

       @tante the other side of this coin is that for every sub-community you are part of to them you seem to have superpowers because you have multiple disjoint experiences. Makes you invaluable for perspective. <3

       @janl maybe, but that doesn't change how much energy it costs me. I see people having these communities and how these structures can be very load-bearing even if it's just to give a person legitimacy. Maybe it's that. Because of the lack of that form of community I feel like I am constantly drowning, as if if I stopped doing something new I'm gone from everywhere. Dunno. It's been a few intense months...
