I caught a random shiny Goldeen in Pokémon HeartGold Version. :blobcatpika: The odds of encountering a shiny is 1/9000 or so in the DS games, so that’s neat. The shiny colors are kind of boring though…it’s mostly just a brighter shade of the regular colors.It was random, so you don’t haaaave to praise me if you don’t wanna (tell the cute girls around you of my exploits, k thx) :blobcathairflip:

I just wiped my eyes, went "YEAH OF COURSE I GET A MAGICARP", beat it up with some low level mon and caught it with a surely visible (if not audible) grimace.I evolved it, beat e4, it did well. ndsl died and probably wiped the save since. No trophies, great memories.

@RehnSturm256 The only legitimate Shinies I've ever gotten are a Magcargo in Gen 4 and a fucking Luvdisc in Gen 6, so I'd say a Goldeen is pretty good. Seaking isn't the best Water Pokemon, but at least it's useable in-game, I actually think I used one on my very first Pokemon Red team.

@King_Noticer for real? because I actually did that to my first shiny. :senko_shock: Mine was a shiny Budew in Diamond version. Beautiful black petals as it evolves….but for some reason it bothered me, I thought it was glitched or something. I knew nothing of shinies and didn’t go online to find out about them, so I ended up deleting that save file… :megudead:

@menherahair @RehnSturm256 My first shiny was a magikarp, too. I was so excited to evolve it because I thought it'd turn into a golden gyarados, then it's just a regular red gyarados. It was such a disappointment.

@ChristiJunior Magcargo looks pretty dope with that purple color in the older game’s pixel art :blobcatokhand2: as for Luvdisc…well you won’t be winning most E4 battles with it :blobcatlaugh2: but it’s got that golden color, so it looks neat!
