When you say "No, anti-woke doesn't mean anti- Black! It also means [things that aren't Black] too!" that's like saying "No, anti-Shabat Shalom isn't anti-semitism! They hate [group that isn't Jewish] too!"Because woke means Black. Woke is a Black saying. Saying that you are anti-woke means that you are anti-Black.And racists and Nazis hate Black people, Jewish people, women, LGBTQIA people, and many other marginalized groups. Racist men do not care about your reproductive rights.

@mekkaokereke I finished reading "Live Work Work Work Die" recently and it's got two very incisive chapters on the lunatics who run Silicon Valley. People really haven't wrapped their heads around just how hostile people like Thiel, Sacks, Musk, et al are to the very idea of secular democracy -- which isn't unique -- but having multiple lifetimes worth of free cash to spend on fascism is relatively unprecedented.

@lednabm@c.im @mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io Nobody would ever accuse me of being religious or pro-religion, but "Christianity is evil" is akin to "No True Scotsman". Christian is as Christian does, is more like it. It's human, and runs the gamut. Do I think religious dogma is harmful? Yes. At scale, it is harmful. But does that make it evil? I'm not sure that (a) a collective behavior can be evil... it's more like a storm or earthquake, to me; and (b) "evil" exists.Honestly, I think Hobbes' Leviathan was right... we live in a state of existential anarchy, and we build various forms of social order within that, as a way of limiting the chaos and uncertainty that anarchy permits.
