@libertyordeath I seem to remember that too!! We used to use paper bags EVERYWHERE until the late 70s/early 80s when they flipped to these thin but surprisingly strong plastic bags because they were more environmentally friendly and could be re-used in other ways (for smaller trash bins, used to carry other stuff again, protecting things from dust, etc.). Going back to paper seems really dumb. Couldn't they at least use that compostable plastic made from corn instead, at least?
