Started playing starfield. Curiously got the best of me. Made it through the tutorial section and intro to New Atlantis when I decided "fuck the city, I wanna explore". Just fucked off looking around planets and moons, scanning shit, discovering things. End up in the Sol system on the moon, find a massive tower that's locked, boost jump my way to the roof. Alarm is blaring, floors are packed with higher level enemies, fighting my way down. Hacking containers and rooms, reprogram robot to fight for me. Get in tense gunfight and get head blown off, respawn at ship because I forgot to save. Lost an entire hour. Not even mad.I think I actually like the game. Granted I've ignored the main thrust of it to just fuck off and do what I want but it's not too bad so far.

Haven't really had many space battles but the ones I had I won. Hoping it gets more interesting for space combat later but I've been enjoying just running around planets being a retard.

That's always the best part of the Bethesda games. They give you a sandbox to fuck around in. I do like games that let you do whatever you want without making the main story be constantly up your ass. That's just me though.

thats interesting because every fucking person or review says to avoid exploring and just speedrun the main campaign and then explore in NG+. It kinda of paralyzed me from wanted to play it more loosely. I shouldnt really care about these types of people but unfortunately its the first thing I saw about this game

The fun about bethesda games is always ignoring the main quest.To this day I have spent more than 200h in F4 and haven't seen the end of the main quest. I have another 200h in Skyrim and still I haven't seen the ending either.I only saw the ending of F3 I think.

speakin' of zombies, i been casually playing a few missions a day in that "days gone" open world zombie game, not bad, could be better, coudl be worse, you know i actually get annoyed at games that have "drinking and eating" mechanics that require yout o eat like a billion calories an hour cuz it just becomes a nuisance like eating is something i hardly notice throughout my day lol

I hear ya, there's 2 mods in there that you can remove or lower hunger and thirst rate. I set them to half, and play in survival mode of courseI leave base with about 1500 rounds for various weapons and run out after about 20 mins 😆There is 4 or 5 zombie mods in that list, res evil zombies also which are tougher than the normal ones, plus watch out for the crawling fuckersZombies creep up on you too so night time is fun but the thermal vision mod is there for that.

lOl, most games do this, i think some devs realize that if it is sorta realistic it never becomes a thing you worry about all that much, but some of them push it way to far in the other direction, like i know tie is sped up in games generally and abstracted, but nothing more annoying than having to have a meal every 30 minutes of game play XD
