@lowqualityfacts Shouldn't that be teeth combs?

@lowqualityfacts going even further back, anthropologists have found that the toothcomb and the toothpick had a unified origin among more archaic hominid ancestors found in their travel kits simply known as the toothbone.

@lowqualityfacts Fun fact: This is the origin of the popular saying, "Don't forget to brush your hair and comb your teeth!"

@lowqualityfacts I stopped using the brush and comb when my teeth went bald. I just polish them with Turtle Wax now.

@lowqualityfacts given the quality of dental care they had lots of room between the tooth(s), a comb just made sense

@lowqualityfacts This actually isn't true; people used to rub their teeth with a small ferret.

@lowqualityfacts as a kid when people said they were going though something “with a fine-tooth comb” I just thought it was a nice toothcomb.

@lowqualityfacts Before Polident was invented, people polished their teeth with mustache wax. I still do!:bobdobbs: I have a mustache that I wax sometimes. (Lest someone be confused: waxing a mustache means putting wax in it to shape it. It does not mean pulling all the hairs with wax... like you'd do a Brazilian, or something. Yes, one person I talked to was confused.)

@lowqualityfacts I know, right? And sometimes they still work when you get an annoying strand of hair in your mouth. I just hate that.

@lowqualityfactsIf I'm in a hurry, it don't have either one within reach, I'll just run my fingers through my teeth.
