Is Nintendo and PC gaming going to have to do the heavy lifting for an entire generation once again? Microsoft has a machine that should be decently capable of putting out good games yet has none ready and those released seemingly have never ending issues. Sony seems to be trying to position itself less as the everyman's console and more as the "high end" version releasing secondary devices that are overpriced and that underdeliver. Nintendo on the other hand already has rumors out that their next console will more than likely be a switch 2, more powerful (nothing crazy but a decent bump), equipped with some sort of AR feature, and most importantly fully backwards compatible with the original switch library. PC gaming has been really delivering lately with solid titles especially for those that enjoy FPS games.Sonysisters, Xbros, I don't feel so good.

Sonysister here, mainly because all my long time friends are on PSN, but the pS5 has been a joke. Sony has the DEI disease when it comes to PS. Woke-scold shoehorned ideology instead of solid games. Go to the PSN store and its all shitty retro games that could run on PS1. Plus they're pushing the VR shit too. Man, I get home I want to relax on the sofa, not physically emulate the game protagonist.

I know inflation is pretty bad, but $400 isn't $700 just yet. even if we do go with the $700 model accounting for Nintendo games never going on sale the long term cost evens out pretty quickly. not to mention the deck is also a computer. swap to desktop and do whatever.

Nintendo doesn't even need to make new games, just remake old ones, like they did with the graphic remasters of Metroid Prime and Advance Wars.I want to see a Golden Sun 1 & 2 remake myself, and would seriously consider purchasing a Switch solely for that. Speaking of PC master race, I am hoping they will announce the Red Alert 2/Tiberium Sun remaster soon.Point is, nobody has to be that creative. All any game publisher has to do is remake 15+ year old classics and they can make bank for years.

Tablets totally outcompete it, because you already can’t type very well on these, you just remove a lot of complexity and weight for better screen space. Still cool in theory at least. Just not very useful, esp. compared to having a laptop harness

Not to mention that if the Switch 2 does come out, and they actually do a good job and make it backwards compatible, it might be really hard to find for quite a while. Jews are very good at scrapping value out of failed companies, these EGS scores are being pushed heavily onto media companies and the IPs they own are still very profitable once the company goes under and it is forced to sell on the pennies, this is the reason why Disney prefers to let an IP rot in their vault rather than selling it. Too true.Nintendo isn't as pozzed as Sony and Microsoft, but third-party games aren't as great, or are unavailable, on the Switch....at least the ones that are graphically intensive. Anime-themed games, on the other hand, run quite well on the Switch, and since Nintendo isn't so pozzed, they don't censor those games....though, technically, the reason they don't implement censorship policies like Sony does is because they think censorship is "bad for competition".I can't speak for Microsoft and their Xbox, but due to Sony (specifically Sony Interactive Entertainment) being headquartered in California, your worry of American commie political officers neutering attempts at good games is well-founded, and of course online gaming has changed so that calling someone "nigger", "kike", "faggot", or some other gamer-word is a punishable offense. Most of the great third-party games are only on PlayStation (and Xbox, too), but depending on what they are, there is censorship.As for PC gaming, I've not committed to it, as I'm not keen on their games nowadays being digital-only, plus support for PC games is frequently inadequate, a flaw that Japanese games (ones ported to PC, at least) are notorious for.
