Things are looking bad for my little Harley.They said they can give him pain killers.Surgery will cost about 5 grand.With no guarentees. Which together roomy and I dont have anything close.Not sure how to pay for todays visit alone.Vet said his condition is prevalent in doxies. He probably wont be able to walk again. I dont know if roomy is bringing him home or if they are putting him to sleep 😭

@Donjanusgjrdrm ty Donita..I met them at the door smooched his nose and muzzle..his tail wagged a little seeing me and seeing he was home.Each of my doxies are different.He's the love bug,cuddle butt, Jasmine is Ms Bossy,thinks shes in charge of her bubba's but loveable to all of us, Thor is the clown and athlete. He's like the little kid who just keeps saying hi,hi,hi..until you throw a ball down the hall.He runs,brings it back,gives a bark,and fetches the ball again..over and over,lol

@Dawnz my daughter’s frenchie had this happen. They couldn’t afford the 10k surgery so they gave him muscle relaxers and pain meds when necessary. He used a little walker and then the little booger started walking again after 6 mo on his own!! 🙏🏻🥹 He has a slight hop or limp at times on one side but it was nothing short of a miracle. I hope you baby improves too. 😘

@Dawnz @MarcusJ65 the surgery for my Flecher cost me 10 grand. He did walk again and did okay. Most do. But the disc disease is definitely a problem for long dogs. Flech is long but he actually had a fractured disc out of the blue. Whatever you decide I wish you well. Surgery is probably your best bet and most dogs do well with physio, etcetera. 🙏❤

@MarcusJ65 Thanks Marcus. Not sure,but it was close to $2500 which we just dont have.And it may or may not work.On the bright side he does try to stand once in awhile, about 2 min or so at a time.Will be looking for a back legs wheelchair.Vet said its a good idea,If it heals it will take 7-9 months

@Dawnz @Klang @MarcusJ65 Eddie wheels online. They custom make them. Not sure if they still do. 🙏 My little guy has a herniated disc. Gabapentin, Meloxicam and muscle relaxers. It is so awful. Prayers for you and your love bug.

@umad80 Thanks Umad..That day roomy had taken him to the vet,she,the vet, had asked roomy if he just wanted to put him to sleep.He was rather stunned so he called me.I told him "bring my boy home! Roomy was so relieved.We decided to get him a little wheelchair cart and between that and physical therapy its better for him and us.

@Klang @MarcusJ65 @Klang Surgerys are so expensive! Cost prohibitive for us.He has been standing up for a min or two without wobbling.We're going to get him a doggy wheelchair, the vet said that would work and possibly he could heal quite a bit in 7-8 months.

@Dawnz okay, well I wish you all the best! I know how it is that we would do anything possible to keep our babies safe and happy. ❤ Here's my Flech. He's 14 now. It's been about five years since his ruptured disc surgery. He walked 6 months after surgery with much therapy and many prayers. He's a bit wobbly at about 95% strength in his hinds so he did really well. He is incontinent but overall, he has a good quality of life.
