       @vkc I think creators or orgs should really host their own as you would with a website, then simply boosted your content with your #fedi account until people start following your #PeerTube directly.  But, don't federate with other instances, it will get cluttered and nsfw way too quick.  However people can still follow from elsewhere, #tilvids style :)

       @vkc As a viewer, I think the @tilvids format has worked very well, i.e., a well curated instance where every creator is veto'ed to meet good quality standards that also have educational valueGeneralist instances fail victim to a poor noise-to-signal ratio, while single-user instances fail to get noticed unless they have some other form of social media presence

       @iyashikei_kris @vkc Very glad to hear this is your sentiment, it's certainly what I'm gearing for with #tilvids My hope is to strike a balance of a very hands-off moderation experience once you've demonstrated you're a good-faith creator making content that aligns with our goal of edutainment, and so far I feel like it's worked out pretty well.Good poll @vkc I'll be watching the results and using it as input for future direction!

       @vkc @socketwench You probably already know @vkc but this is essentially what I'm hoping to do with #tilvids My goal is to use the main site as a place to help newer creators establish a following without having to deal with the technical aspects of running an instance. Once they get large enough, TILvids would help them figure out how to set up their own instance, and then federate with them, eventually growing a big ring of creators (which is why we're also so limiting on federation atm).

       @vkc Lots of good points made already. I would only add that being on a bespoke instance makes sense to a well-known creator wanting to share more content and retain more control.Sharing an instance with even a few other creators makes more sense for a newer creator who values discoverability over the volume of content they can offer and the control they are given.
