@tek He couldn’t make a plaid shirt over T-shirt and jeans by himself? I thought that was a joke and at the end of the commercial they’d “fix” him.

@dlek But no! That was his customized look: jeans and a flannel!

@tek “At BEST I would manage a flannel with jorts if I was camping. Thanks, anonymous internet service!”

@dlek I wear hiking shorts and a flannel regularly, but I already had them from hiking and I’m lazy. I didn’t pay anyone to dress me like that, for Pete’s sake.

@tek My cargo shorts, as with all my cargo lowers, I stitch the left side pocket so I have a cel phone sheath (otherwise the phone flops around annoyingly). It keeps the phone right at the side of my leg so when cycling it doesn’t bounce. No service is going to style that up for me

@dlek Nice hack! Mine are off the rack, but definitely more functional than fashionable. I think they look nice, but that's not why I shop at REI.

@tek If you look closely, he’s actually rocking a second unbuttoned shirt underneath the plaid flannel.

@tek I’d have to be talked into the double-layering, I think, since it just seems weird to me.

@mpirnat How I could arrive at that juncture:1. Throw on a t-shirt.2. Throw on a short sleeve button-up.3. Get chilly and grab the flannel hanging on the coat rack in my office. There's no other plausible explanation.
