Spent the day reading /v/ threads and watching impression videos. Is it really true that Starfield is just a set of never ending fast travel segments interlinking small play areas and that there really isn't a sense of depth to exploration in space or on planet? That seems like a major let down if true.

@dotnet @Jim worse, there is not even space travel.everything is instanced and you move only via map fast travel.

@Jim i.e. even there weren't any invisible walls, goofing around on the planets for too long is just not worth it, because they are mostly rocks. Just like in Elite dangerous where everything is Rocks. I once explored a crater that hundreds of meters deeps. I doubt that Bethesda has added these to the game. At least they brought back generated quests.

@Some_German_Guy @dotnet @Jim A few people wouldn't believe me when I said this game would be a disappointment. 80% of games will be and might be forever. We got a few good games since 2020 and it will become rare because of the devs poor ass choices. Volition can rest in pieces by the way. Just really wanted to say that...naughty dog included. The only thing I am looking forward to is Skyblivion to be honest. People are scared shitless for ES 6 and apparently it just started development so you can guess they are going to pull some bullshit in there.
