Question:What is the "weekend trip" destination where you live? For example, in Minnesota it's "up north," or "the north shore," or "up at the cabin," or "at the lake."Where do folks go for a weekend near you?

@sigridellis I'm 3 - 4 hours from NYC, so generally speaking we are the weekend destination. Conversely, I do go to NYC for a weekend pretty often. Aside from that, there's the Finger Lakes with parks, sailing, and winery tours, Syracuse for the state fair, and the Adirondacks. Still haven't been to Niagara falls, the drive is a bit long. I'd need a long weekend.

@SallyStrange @sigridellis from NYC, it’s usually “upstate “ (we are the south tip of the state, so everything outside NYC is upstate). Summertime, also “the beach” which can be anything from Coney Island to Fire Island. For us, foragers, anything woodsy .

@sigridellis out east or upstate. NY suburbs. Also, it's just 'the city' if you are going into nyc.
