@Wolven Facebook and LinkedIn have both our work history and schooling info when we voluntarily put that on our profiles. Apple and Android phones have our biometric data so we can easily login to our phones. Apps that allow us to login via FaceID or fingerprint also have our biometric data. If you use an android, google tracks everywhere you go as an OS default, and it lets all apps track everything you do on your phone. Unfortunately there’s no way around this these days.

They ALL want to own the one ring that rules them all (so much so that Thiel even used Palantir as a corporate name) because their "businesses" can only survive as monopolies and it's the only business strategy they have and it's what they build their hype on. @ashleyspencer you don't have to put that information there, and you can remove it without losing access to the services in question. You can turn off location tracking. You shouldn't use your biometrics for passwords because the police can compell your face or fingerprints, but they can't compell a typed login. None of these things is inevitable or without alternative

@Wolven what makes you think that "deleting" posts leads to an effective deletion? I guess the posts will just earn a "deletion flag" and are no more shown, not really deleted.Otherwise police inquiry will fail in every case of finding culprits of some unwanted post.Have a happy sunday.

@Wolven Jumio's interesting in that, if we all had widely available digital ID in the form of verifiable credentials, we'd not need them, but unfortunately proof of identity hasn't really reached the digital age, so the only way to verify is to either hire lots of staff to conduct video calls or use machine vision (not really AI) to detect real versus fake identity cards & to extract the textual information from them.The Jumio system is one of the better ones from what I've heard.

@Wolven @zzzeek it's not just for MasterCard/visa to work with them, but actually to comply with local laws (many jurisdictions are implementing "age verification" laws, which lack any privacy measures, and are pushed by religious anti-sex groups)

@Wolven My content is being deleted right now by Tweet Deleter. It's been working on it for over a month. I had 150K tweets over 15+ years.My worries, however, is that the tweets won't actually be deleted. Instead, they'll just be removed from sight. That would allow them to be used for this training and got knows what else.Any info about this?
