Just to keep the Masto/Fediverse spirit going with a meta post:The amount of activity on a post (replies, repost, likes) here is significantly higher that I ever had it on Twitter. Which is a bit surprising TBH.

@tante I never had a significant following on Twitter so it's good news to hear that from someone with circa 10K followers here and over 30K there. But from my own meager following here and there (both about 300 - at least before I terminated my Twitter account) I feel like the quality of interactions is a lot higher here. Whether we sustain that as we grow, who knows. There's definitely an "early adopter" bias now, our limited numbers mean blowhards and trolls don't find it as attractive.

@tante why do you think it’s suprising? Because of a difference in the amount of followers? I think with a chronological timeline like here the post is seen by a lot more people than with an algorithmic timeline. At least as long as the post doesn’t pass the threshold to be pushed to random people by the algorithm

@AlexVoss yeah there was a "following" that only showed you people you follow in reverse chronological order (what a weird idea)
