I've spent nearly 3-hours today rescanning my Gene Lees books. Lees "Singers And The Song II" has no index and that's a criminal oversight. Equally using an overhead scanner for books has resulted in a number of unreadable pages. It is though much better than destructive flatbed scanning you put the book through as individual pages.I'm wrapping up an almost month long project on Astrud Gilberto

@Andylikesguitars The pages are OCR'd (optical character read) and become searchable. I hold to the original books, sometimes it's useful to have the hardcopy.I have dozens of books I've scanned and more than 150 copies of Down Beat magazine. The magazines are much easier to scan since they are rarely more than 50-pages. I have hundreds left to scan. https://www.ctproduced.com/downbeat-the-good-bad-ugly/
