Odysee seems to not work w/ Tor Browser anymore (at least for several firearms files I've tried recently)Will mirror some more files on the Mysu Firearms Mirror later tonight and tomorrow. Files will be available via Tor and I2P.

@pokkst you know, I've been looking for more 2a fosscad sources and those guys keep them all secret. I wonder, do you know where they are? This is a hobby I'd like to dive deeper into.

@mistermonster They are not secret, it's just on sites like Reddit and the like you can't link them, but they will be more than happy to tell you: Odysee or "Odd Sea" or anything similar to bypass Reddit censorship, but as I just said, Odysee no longer functions in Tor Browser.For some files, you can find them at my mirror: gats.mysu.dev (it only works via Tor Browser, as this domain redirects to the onion).I am working on improvements to the page right now, and adding more files.

@pokkst I know about odysee, I've just seen in different spaces an insinuation that there are more.I used to have the entire defcad archive and wanted to update it to be more current but now they're requiring registration and I'm not doing that.

@mistermonster Odysee is the main, if not only one besides DEFCAD, but as you said DEFCAD require not only registration, but also SSN and they block VPNs and Tor and whatnot. It's essentially FEDCAD. Do not use it, ever.thegatalog.com and ctrlpew point to prominent Odysee profiles, but there exist other prints and stuff outside of those profiles elsewhere on Odysee. I think the dominance of Odysee is a weak point in the fosscad community, and more mirrors should be made.

@pokkst I think a gitea (or better, fossil) server on an onion service would be fantastic for stuff like this, you can keep version control on it, community contributions, stuff like that, as well as software for potentially risque sorts of applications. I know the gun dudes aren't up to snuff on that kind of stuff but it would be fantastic to see something like that.

@mistermonster I'm pretty sure there used to be one of those (without Gitea, or I2P/Tor... just on GitHub lol) but it hasn't been updated in years last I checked. I can probably add one to the Mysu Gitea

@pokkst oh, it's because gitea and forgejo are implementing forgefed and activitypub identifies instances via URL. Unfortunate.I wonder if fossil can run, and clone, push etc as an onion service.I'll check out the eepsite, thanks.
