Creative Good: AI is spackleGood analogy- tho I’d argue that it’s Spackle +. Not the futuristic panacea or the doomsday technology. However, it is more connective and “organic” that simply spackle - more like spackle that seeks out holes to fix - this can be both great or super scary - depending on who wields and designs the algorithms. - thoughts? Have I butchered the analogy? https://creativegood.com/blog/23/ai-is-spackle.html

@debs well... not sure I'd say that it "seeks out" anything, as that seems to imply agency in AI that I don't think is there. humans are in charge - if there's an AI seeking out stuff on its own, it's because a human minder set it loose with instructions to find those holes (which fits your "super scary" scenario)

@markhurst exactly!! and I think of spackle as having no “active properties”. Maybe it’s that “foam stuff” that expands to fill holes.Ok - will stop butchering metaphors - I totally agree it’s spackle just searching for something more “active” Hugs
