@textfiles My aunt used to freelance write corporate manuals. I remember her working on a McDonald's one in the '90s and I'm about 99% certain she had to write the string "McSanitizer™" multiple times.

@textfiles Back in the 1970s my dad was once working on repairs to the replica of Sainte Marie among the Iroquois, and had to work from a copy of the state's specs for historic recreations. It required things like trowel marks in the plaster. I wish I still had it.

@jasper Sure, I always like posting lovely compilations and being called out as a potential fraud.The manuals collection has been in various states since I created it in 2012. Across that 11 years, I've gone over many manuals and manual sets in the process of sorting/analysis and learning the trends/aesthetics of the documents as I go. As a result, I know there are a lot of manuals with similar names that can ignored in a "fun" search. Boring, simple, etc.

@jasper Having that knowledge, I can then go through for terms that I know tend to bring out really good results: "Design Guide" "Character", "Guidelines", etc.I also use the Full-Text-Search for terms like "employees may not" which will bring up internal company guides that have been uploaded, which also will be good.In this way, I was able to go through the 3 million manuals, highlight down to about 20,000, and then do cover-scans in the results to find the ~80 that are in the collection.
