So I brought the Saab into the mechanic to fix a oil leak which I suspected was the rear main seal. He called back today to say he could not find an oil leak. 🤷🏼‍♂️Honestly, I don’t know what to think. The massive amount of oil on the garage floor says otherwise.

I hate mechanics — I never have any luck finding decent ones.

@dan could have been a "polite" way of saying they didn't want to work on it. Kind of like the ol "we don't work on M O D I F I E D cars"

@makesubarugayagain If he would have said “I can’t pinpoint where the leak is coming from so I don’t want to throw parts at it” that would have been fine. But he said, “I can’t find any major leaks let me know if oil starts hitting the ground.”Like i can see it dripping.

@dan i had the dealership do something similar they told me it was "spilled oil" from an oil change. I brake cleaned it everything and uved dyed it and showed them again. They did the work and i had catastrophic engine failure like 400 miles later. You might have dodged a bullet honestly.
