       Today went roughly like:Hey that's weird my laptop lid is opening by itself.Holy hell my laptop batteries are so swollen its bulging open.Cart laptop out to backyard next to metal ash can.Remove back cover, batteries are toast.iFixit says 67 step disassembly process... except in the fine print says unless you just use isopropyl alcohol instead of nail polish remover to loosen the battery adhesive its only 3 steps.Battery safely removed and stored in metal can.Laptop works great.
