@matthannon Woodlice are eating our apples while still on the tree. Never seen that before! But loads of blackberries. Our young cherry tree did well too. No plums, because we gave them a slightly radical prune last year.

@matthannon My garden has blackberries in profusion. I can't reach them :(There's a lack of apples for the blackberry-and-apple crumble anyway. Plums were totally absent, after a splendid showing of blossom in the spring. Thank goodness for #Crowdfarming and Spain's tropiterranean fruits. It'll be a winter of mango sorbet.

@matthannon I know another family with several apple trees who don't expect to have a surplus this year Vs a 40 box surplus last year so pretty terrible reduction. However, often a bad year after a good one.

@matthannon Apples were fine here on our two trees in the North West of England, but 2 out of 3 pear trees totally failed to fruit

@matthannon Neither good nor bad for apples in Sheffield, but last year was dreadful. Good year for blackberries here. WineGB have said it's going to be a good grape harvest down south, which is surprising. #gardening #sheffield

@matthannon Great year for blackberries and many plums here in Coventry. Apples not looking so good as last year at my normal foraging sites. I think there was an issue at blossom time, so not so much fruit was formed. I'm still expecting to collect 150Kg apples at cider making time, mostly from gardener donations and windfall collections from my usual sources.
