@Emily I mean tbf, It's not like they have a measurable advantage in chess just because they were born a certain sex, so I don't see much of a reason to bar them from entry (altho, I also do not really understand the division to begin with since chess is just a case of "git gud").

@Emily Why, exactly, is it necessary to sex a chess tournament? Is there a special pink room for the woman's tournament and they need to make sure only born females get to use the pink-walled room? Why not just have a humans chess tournament. (You can have an algorithms' tournament in the other room.)

@eveiswurzig @weirdofhermiston @Emily Yeah but the international federation also *did* discriminate on trans men in the same decision.I'm paraphrasing what I remember here, but trans men will be stripped of any title won pre administrative transition, and that until they change their gender marker back to F (once again, the details might be wonky here)
