       E WA needs to be on our🔥 radar +much of Canada🙏. Evacuations are in place as #wildfires burn in E WA -largest of the blazes: Gray Fire -in & around Medical Lake in Spokane Co. 🔥has burned approximately 9,500 acres, 0% contained. 1 person: confirmed dead -fire spread rapidly after igniting on Fri amid high temps. 100s of firefighters: engaged in a very active fire fight, 185 houses/bldgs: lost, Oregon Road Fire: 3K acres & 30 structures: lost, 0% cont. &.... #ClimateCrisis https://ktbb.com/post/?p=1252836Spokane

       I found a map of the current fires in WA, ID & OR. Note where Kelowna is located (Canadian fires aren't on the map), just north of North Central WA. Thankfully, there's a possibility of rain on Monday for the area. #ClimateEmergency

       @KimPerales I've loon been looking at the #NASA #Fire Information for Resource #Management System, #FIRMS, and former incarnations.https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@-6.5,-1.1,3zThere is also the National Interagency Fire Center, #NIFC: https://www.nifc.gov/fire-information/mapsI used to use #INCIWEB but it was retired. Looks like I can get to fire reports on current fires via NIFC, but need to figure out how to look up old fires and fire border maps.
