@Onionkink lol. It would be like having workers building your house at your house, then once it's built, the workers are still there doing work every day. Lol. The covenant was fulfilled. The contract was completed. New work must commence. You lived in the house now. It's yours.

@Onionkink i think it mostly has to do with the last century's use of Scofield bible, and subsequent worship of Israel --they were solely chosen to produce a solid bloodline for Christ, and once he appeared, they were to follow their king, instead followed a synagogue of Satan..but much of fundamentalist and evangelical Christianity believes in an odd manipulated "prophecy" where non contextual items are given primacy to fit the narrative

@Onionkink The best thing I've heard in response to a point like this is "we don't believe that we need those things because it's the New Covenant"But then the question is "you make it sound like they're wrong, but your reason to not having them is 'we don't need them" To which their response is usually something along the lines of "better safe than sorry" And that feels like it's such a common cop-out among some Protestants.
