telegram started becoming worse ~2 years ago. then they added premium, which has completely ruined accessibility.translation software shouldn't be gatekept.speech to text shouldn't be gatekept.accessibility is a right.stealth mode to stalk people shouldn't even be a thing.

@mazunki@fosstodon.org Apparently it's a "known" phenomenon and has been posted about in the HaikuOS forums. Some sort of API mis-match from the ported Telegram app in the HaikuDepo or something something I don't know over-my-head but it flags you as a security problem or whatever.But, yeah, meanwhile: bots, criminals, and illegal content roams free.

@adiz @mazunki my Telegram account briefly got banned a few years ago when I signed in through the normal Linux desktop app, but I appealed and got it back within a day with no loss of contacts or chats. I suspect there's some kind of bug in the part of their backend that tries to detect possible spam accounts
