He has always sought to parley with segregationists believing in the institutional goodness. His legislation regarding bankruptcy and a legendary exchange with E Warren, inspired her entry into politics. Even during his 2018 campaign he sought bi-partisanship with the fascist GOP well after their project was clearly to destroy the republic.
