@someGuyNick @BlueDouche correct, we’re all hypocrites. The rub is in acknowledging it and forming an independent understanding of why you hold the hypocritical belief. Often the underling belief itself isn’t hypocritical, the phraseology you’ve used or the way the feeling is described is just inept.This doesn’t apply to (Christian) religion, or anything which requires blind adherence to doctrine. Rephrasing, redefining, or refining holy doctrine is by definition heresy.

@eriner i think you will find that most Christians don't know the difference between Orthodox, Protestants and Catholics. To some in my area church is a social club. I would venture that most self professed haven't read the Bible. This meme is a fair representation of how out of context quotes can influence individuals or in the cases you mention, used as a sort of morality spear again philosophical debates.
