House next door is being entirely renovated so there's been building noise since June and it's due to continue until December. And now we're having all our windows replaced, which while admittedly self-inflicted is not improving matters.

@mjg59 depending on how old your existing windows are, replacing them may help immensely to reduce the noise from next door. Had mine replaced almost a year ago from the original 60-ish year old set and now I don't hear the neighbors' children screaming nearly as loudly!

@mjg59 we were having a massive building project in our house for the last 5 months. I cannot express the relief I felt when the final contractors left for the last time 😊

@mjg59 It took two years for next door to have a complete renovation. That was not fun at all. Also we are getting new sashes in a month or so, which requires moving our library. 3000 books take a lot of space.
