       @SDF I gotta ask, is there anything I missed with the SDF community, and deadnaming people? I have to moderate the LTT sublemmy over at Lemmy.ml, and the only people who deadnamed Emily are coming from the SDF instance. It's not a good look on us...

       @7heo Based on my experience, the Lemmy crowd is a bit more "rowdy" than the Mastodon users.But being on SDF is, unfortunately, not always a sign of politeness and respect.Feel free to follow the motto of the Fediverse, and ban / block / suspend the SDF users who are doing the deadnaming.@SDF

       @nausiyan @7heo @SDF Well, the good thing is that we have moderation, and we are not afraid to use it.I say it often: if somebody is behaving like an idiot, from SDF or not, report that person, then block or mute. Moderators will take it from there.

       @ParadeGrotesque @SDF yeah I removed the incriminated posts, and told the user to chill. But seriously, what's hard about just being "oh, my bad!" and just correcting it? FFS this is just respecting someone's decisions about how they wanna live this life... You don't have to like it, but respect costs literally nothing... smh

       @ParadeGrotesque @SDF  in this case, I would venture to say that being on SDF is a sign of the SDF Lemmy instance being one of the few not requiring an email address...
