About curiosity, imagine that you wrote a long text that you copy/paste to Fedilab and the app automatically splits it in messages (thread it) depending on your instance max length for messages.Would it be useful for you?

@appsIt would also be beneficial if it linked the messages somehow. Either putting "Thread 1~" or making threads replies of the first message

@PhilGastwirth @apps Yes, it needs to do a "1/3" thing when splitting, and make the additional messages replies to the first/each other. Otherwise I'll have to just keep doing it manually.

@appsI don't know how intrusive it would be from a UX perspective, but for those logged with multiple accounts, maybe a setting to ask if they want to use another account with a bigger limit?

@apps no, and my opion is that nobody should be tempted to use more than 10'000 characters on a microblogging site, like my instance does. I can't use almost 100% of the emojis on my home instance, because I'm probably not extreme enough, but the 10'000 character limit is a boon! Here are some examples. @apps I'd prefer a semi-automatic solution, as an alternative to the existing "+" button:1. Have a max length indicator in the text editor (e.g. a graphical symbol at the max position; or coloring the text exceeding the max # of chars in red; the existing countdown of remaining characters isn't helpful here)2. Since splitting a thread isn't merely technical but also depends on the content, I'd like to be able to place the cursor and then press a button "move text after cursor to next box"
