@stux seriously? I have to pay € 10 for the inhaler when I pick it up at the pharmacy. The insurance is paying most likely more. For private insured people normal Asthma inhaler are around € 33-50. I mean WTFEpi Pen 300 is € 78 (private) and € € 7,8 (normal). Why is this so expensive in the US?

@stux Prices quoted are what they bill insurance, not necessarily what that person pays. It's anybody's guess how much of that is paid by insurance and how much is paid by the person. It's also anybody's guess how much a person will pay if they don't have insurance due to various laws, government programs, ability to pay, etc.Hospitals in the US are required to at least stabilize emergency room patients regardless of their ability to pay

@stux yes this is America and it’s corporate fee for healthcare and pharmaceutical products! This is not only limited to Humans- I have a Cat with Asthma - Cost from a US pharmacy is 650USD for 1 inhaler - cost from a Canadian pharmaceutical co - 100USD - do the math. Nothing in the USA is any longer affordable!
