I think I miss quote-posts so much here not only cause I like making them but because for me they were probably the best tool to discover new voices. Actual "micro blogs" where smart people made very focused commentary of something.

@tante for being a distribute "social" network, the Fediverse seems to be quite reluctant to engage in social behaviour.Yes, I've seen the usual known voices saying that they get magnitudes more boosts here than retweet on The Old Twitter, but to me it seems like I get a number of likes from people I know, and pretty much no boosts.

@Mina @tante I thought they weren't there by design? I believe that's the intention. To prevent people "talking over" each other and engage in dialogue in the comments. I don't have a clear opinion about what's most functional, but that's the story I got.

@tante I miss them as well, but I think pushing the standard reply to your feed would make the UX way better.
